This position includes managingand planning overall project work and subcontractors teams. This positionrequires experience in electrical and instrumentation installations andstartup.
Under general supervision theincumbent exercises independent judgment and discretion and is responsible forapplying knowledge of administrative management practices. Duties involveeither work directly related to general business operations or supervising andoverseeing the work of others. Supervisory responsibilities includedirectly planning, organizing and controlling the activities of two or moreindividuals. The individual may perform some of the same activities asthe employees who are supervised; however, this is limited and performance ismeasured by results obtained through others. Ensures that craft personnelcomply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practicesafe work habits.
Monitors the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing craftwork, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements
Ensures that subordinates are trained on and aware of specifications and work procedures and are utilized to ensure optimal efficiency
Maintains effective schedule and cost control of craft personnel
Plans required work activity to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed
Responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits
5 - 8 years’ experience with BS Engineering Degree; 8 - 12 years without BS degree.
Minimum of 15 years of Construction Experience working with contractors.
Heavy high voltage and turbine generator experience
Experience I&C and MEP background that has worked on Industrial sites.
Pulp & Paper experience strongly preferred
Prior experience with Managing Contractors.
OSHA 30 training preferred.
Construction experience must include site infrastructure, support buildings and process unit power distribution.
Experience in the construction of plant support facilities, clean chemical manufacturing
