AWS Solutions Engineer
This Requirement is for the DXC AWS Offering Delivery and Transformation for the role of Cloud Solutions Engineer with DevOps/SysOps skills.
The Cloud Solutions Engineer is a role focused on helping clients adopt and transform to AWS Cloud infrastructure.
The Cloud Solutions Engineer will be deploying and managing, operating the highly scalable and fault tolerant systems in AWS Public Cloud for a variety of large clients in various industries including Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, and Media/Entertainment.
Essential Job Functions
Primary responsibilities as a Cloud Solutions Engineer will be to review and provide feedback on all logical and detailed designs and to deliver to the detailed design.
Defines technology-based business solutions within scope of project.
Reviews and approves design decisions, within established level of authority, prior to implementation.
Leads system design activities and/or reviews system designs to assure that applications solutions will exhibit expected levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
Participate in reengineering of existing client applications to ensure they leverage additional benefits provided through the AWS Cloud.
Work cross-functionally within the organization and with external partners, and clients.
Engineers and develops scripts and configurations that meet the requirements of the project scope and as per design of the Solutions Architect.
Understands low-level tools, techniques, software, hardware, programming languages and third party tools/libraries applicable to the success of the final solution.
Accountable that artifacts produced per project requirements are scalable, robust and follow best practices.
Performs client training and enablement, both developing customized training materials, and conducting or participating in training sessions.
Manage expectations and status of escalated issues with the Project Manager as well as the client on a weekly basis, or daily if issues are critical/blocker
Responsible for escalation and 3rd level support of solution issues to the support team, raising of issue tickets and tracking their progression to resolution.
Identify, research, evaluate, recommend and contribute to development of new tools and technology
Accountable for committing all technical artifacts to the knowledge base/repository on a regular basis.
Document technical articles or knowledge base for use by other delivery staff, technical support personnel and/or customers and partners.
Participate in the internal Q&A boards.
Cross-mentor other staff members.
