POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this job description is to perform specialized complex work on a wide variety of clerical services including determining office

needs in prioritizing and organizing work and the appropriate action to

be taken


  • Works as clerical support personnel for Radiology department.

  • Check patients in for appointments

  • Verifying orders in RIS for x-ray exams

  • Communicating with technologists, radiolgoists concerning exam

  • Answers multiple incoming-telephone lines and utilizes computer simultaneously, using excellent customer skills

  • Send and receive fax information

  • Burn CD’s of exams from pacs

  • Upload CD’s to pacs

  • Research exam information and prepare invoices for legal work

  • Interview patients for history and screening prior to exams

  • Input data into RIS

  • Send out letters




High School diploma or equivalent.


Associates degree preferred.






Heart Saver or Basic Life Support Recommended.

Skills: Excellent customer service & communication skills with patients. Ability to speak, articulate, and be understood clearly.
