Manage the development of requirements for transmission, generation, and end-use customers to interconnect with the transmission systems of the Entergy Operating Companies or enhanced reliability needs of existing customers including the development of estimates of new facilities which may be required. The requirements shall be developed in accordance with the MISO Tariff, NERC reliability standards, SERC standards, and the Entergy Operating Companies' associated planning criteria and business practices.
Provide leadership, direction and technical guidance to engineering and technical staff engaged in engineering analyses required to develop requirements for transmission, generation, and end-use customers to interconnect to the transmission systems of the Entergy Operating Companies.
Manage work processes, schedules, and resources to meet objectives. Ensure processes, criteria, guidelines, and related documents conform to industry standards, regulations and applicable tariffs.
Support the Operating Companies' in economic development activities including participation as necessary in MISO's Out of Cycle process.
Manage requests by governmental agencies and other parties to relocate existing transmission facilities owned by the Entergy Operating Companies. Manage requests by third parties to jointly use transmission facilities owned by the Entergy Operating Companies.
Provide testimony and related support in regulatory proceedings on matters related to transmission planning.
Provide technical support to various workgroups including Operations, Economic Development, Distribution Planning, System Planning Organization, Regulatory Support, Jurisdictional organizations, etc.
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering. Master's in Engineering or MBA preferred.
