Cazador is the federal government’s “general contractor for interiors,” a one-stop-shop for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment as well as initial outfitting and relocation project management.


A qualified Medical Project Manager will oversee contract IO projects from beginning to end. Contracts may be private sector or government. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administering details such as customer meetings, project planning, FF&E procurement and outfitting, budget management, training, communications requirements, oversee associated transition activities, prepare and manage project schedules and costs. This candidate will also manage internal and external resources by working closely with Interior Designers, Transition Planners, Vendors, Construction Team, etc. Coordination of existing FF&E inventories, planning for re-use and disposal processes is often required. In addition, this position manages all government required submittals and works directly with government representatives during the life of a contract. Responsible for ensuring adequate internal controls including procurement processes and cost accounting controls, reviewing procedures implemented to alleviate conflicts, errors and omissions and managing overall profitability of the project as awarded. Ensure all contract requirements are met including any requirements extending the scope or life of the project via project modifications.



  • Master’s degree and 8 years professional experience in a related field or Bachelor’s degree and 10 years professional experience in a related field. At least 7 of the years must be on medical projects.

  • Certified PMP (Project Management Professional)

  • Ability to interpret blueprints

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)

  • Must pass standard background check and have the ability to obtain a military base clearance

  • Must have knowledge of Joint Service Numbers as associated with MIL-STD 1691


  • Prior project experience with DoD, military or government service desired

  • Federal healthcare facility activation experience preferred

  • VA healthcare facility activation experience preferred

  • Microsoft Access and REVIT experience a plus

  • Strong general knowledge of furniture and medical equipment outfitting a plus

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills

  • Strong business acumen, professionalism and integrity

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Highly detail oriented


Candidate shall be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision from home office or job site depending on specific project requirements. Critical and fast track schedules and deadline are typical. Candidate must understand that at times, because of project deadlines, overtime is frequent and this position is exempt. Extensive travel is required, sometimes at very short notice, and may be for extended periods of time (multiple weeks/months at a remote job site). At times, this position will require physical effort associated with using a computer to access information, occasional standing and walking for lengthy periods of time to carry-out on-site activities.
