The Winder A performs difficult operations, such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sized DC armatures, AC stators, rotors, etc.
As the Winder A, you will:
Perform operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sized DC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc.
Perform related duties, as assigned, such as assisting on the larger or more complicated units
Dismantle and repair commutators and collector rings, as well as band rotating equipment
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 5 years of experience winding AC and/or DC armatures from 5 HP to 1,000 HP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel to job sites and complete overnight stays
Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays, and weekends
Strong mechanical skills
Ability to read and interpret winding connection drawings
Experience winding field coils
Self-starter able to work with minimal direction
Willingly accepts job challenges
Experience with Health and Safety programs
